After a day to its ''open to all'' feature , Google added a official button "Send Invitations" to Google plus , as people finds very difficult to invite people to Google plus , you can view the button as shown in the image below , just click on the button, add email address of your friend, whom you want to invite and press send.
I already posted a fastest way to get Google plus invite or get invite by using my contact form, this method is still working and you can use it for a backup. Also, to use Google plus in your mobile visit this URL in your phone's browser: m.google.com/plus
