Earn money with Google Adsense

This article covers the basic introduction of Google adsense program. What is Google Adsense

Google adsense is a well renowned program by Google which gives an opportunity  to the webmasters, publishers and bloggers to earn money, It is most common program used by the website owners to monetize their website. It allows all type of website owners from novice to professional , bloggers of any niche , sites of any size to monetize their site bu placing image or text ads on their site.

AdSense is a Pay Per Click (PPC) program, which means that the publisher gets paid every time one of their visitors click on the adverts. The actual amount paid varies depending on the ad clicked, visitors location, website owners location and many other factors.

How Does It Work?

To start using adsense , you need to create a website or a blog. Let us assume that you created a blog on books. Blog is most common way to start,  for a person because creating a blog is free, so, no expense for hosting or domain name (Use blogger.com for creating a free blog ).

Now after creating a blog, start writing some unique content  ( means whatever you like but no copying from others ) . Now, Sign up for Google adsense (www.google.com/adsense), If you are approved (in mostly cases), you will be given a javascript code to install  it on your blog.

once the code installs and published  over the net, a GoogleBot automatically scans the whole site and it determines , what the whole site is about of. After the whole scan of the website, Google starts displaying the ads relevant to that page content, For e.g the blog we created above was of books so relevant ads will be of books.

Where Do the Ads Come From?

The ads are running from a program called " Google Adwords ", which is a paid advertisement program where website owners pays google to show its ad on relevant pages which are using adsense program.

When and How Will I Get Paid?

Payment is made once you have made over $100. Every month your account is checked to see if you have exceeded this threshold and payment made if appropriate.

You can choose to receive payment via cheque or via electronic funds transfer in some countries.

One thing is must before you use adsense, Always read the Terms of Service (ToS)! Also ,under any circumstances, Do NOT click on your own ads or ask your friends/relatives to do so. It will most likely lead to you being banned from the Google AdSense program. So, don't do such type of practices, Just have patience, it is a very good source of income in long run.
